TV-Series
Description
Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel is a diminutive alien scientist with white fur, red eyes, and a hybrid rodent-like appearance combining hamster, gerbil, and rabbit features, often accentuated by a red cape fastened with a golden "H" brooch. During imprisonment, he wears a striped blue jumpsuit.

His background identifies him as the former partner of Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Both graduated from Evil Genius University and initially co-managed a business called "Jokes on You" before collaborating on illegal genetic experiments. Hämsterviel financed these ventures through self-described "shady business deals," leading him to claim ownership over all 625 resulting creations. He later betrayed Jumba by alerting the Galactic Federation to his activities, causing Jumba's arrest. Hämsterviel was subsequently imprisoned, though Jumba believed him dead until his reappearance.

Personality-wise, he compensates for his small stature with ruthless ambition for galactic domination, exhibiting a Napoleon complex. He is self-absorbed, viewing others as inferior, and frequently insults allies and subordinates. His interactions feature volatile tantrums when thwarted and abusive treatment of his loyal henchman, Captain Gantu, whom he consistently belittles. This abuse ultimately causes Gantu to defect and aid Hämsterviel's enemies. Though cunning and diabolical, he displays cowardice when directly threatened, pleading for mercy or claiming jokes when restrained or overpowered. Notably, during his early partnership with Jumba, he demonstrated a jokester demeanor.

His schemes across media focus on reclaiming Jumba's experiments to conquer the Galactic Federation. In *Stitch! The Movie*, he hires Gantu to capture the experiments, leading to a confrontation where he attempts to execute Stitch with a laser but is subdued and re-imprisoned. In the *Lilo & Stitch* television series, he orchestrates plans from his cell via communication screens, occasionally escaping to Earth—once becoming the temporary pet of Lilo's rival, Mertle.

In *Leroy & Stitch*, he forces Jumba to create Leroy, a red Stitch-like experiment, clones an army, and overthrows the Galactic Council. His immediate firing of Gantu after this victory backfires when Gantu helps Lilo and the experiments defeat the Leroy clones. Hämsterviel is re-imprisoned on Asteroid K-37, where he sulks surrounded by deactivated clones.

The *Stitch!* anime series reveals his continued pursuits after escaping prison again with Gantu and Reuben. He allies with a formidable alien named Delia to steal Stitch's power cell for a new experiment, Skunkuna, deployed to wreak havoc. He also steals several of Jumba's experiments from the Galactic Federation and Hawaii, using methods like Angel's song or DNA transmutation to "re-evil" them under his control, sometimes altering their appearances or enhancing abilities.

His vulnerabilities include susceptibility to experiments' effects: one instance of amnesia allowed Gantu to manipulate him with false memories, while another experiment induced temporary affection toward Gantu, though he continued insulting him. These incidents highlight psychological fragility beneath his tyrannical exterior.
