Description
Azbes is a central figure in the narrative, originally serving as a high-ranking royal guard for House Volder in the kingdom of Arst. His life is defined by a single, catastrophic event: the invasion led by the warlord Marder, which results in the death of King Volder and the capture of Queen Feria. In the chaos of the fallen capital, Azbes is entrusted with the most critical mission of all, the protection and escape of the infant Prince Jordy.

This duty becomes the absolute cornerstone of Azbes's character, shaping his personality, motivations, and every action that follows. To shield the young prince from Marder’s relentless forces, Azbes makes the profound sacrifice of concealing Jordy’s true lineage. He renames the boy Jojo and raises him as his own grandson within the relative safety of a secluded community known as White Hall or White Valley. For approximately twelve years, Azbes dedicates himself entirely to two parallel goals: the upbringing of the prince and the search for a legendary ancient weapon, the panzer Galient, which he believes is essential to challenge Marder’s empire.

Azbes serves not merely as a guardian but as the primary mentor, combat instructor, and military strategist for the young prince. He rigorously trains Jordy in the arts of war, preparing him for his destined role as both a leader of the resistance and the pilot of the Galient. Their relationship is that of a battle-hardened veteran warrior and the child he is shaping into a hero. Beyond this paternal and instructional role, Azbes is a key figure in the broader resistance movement, leveraging his tactical expertise to organize and lead opposition against Marder’s forces from their base in White Valley.

Throughout the story, Azbes's unwavering commitment is to restore the rightful heir to the throne of Arst. His development is tied directly to his success in this mission. He begins as a loyal retainer fleeing a lost battle and evolves into the strategic leader of a rebellion. After the successful uprising and Jordy’s reclamation of his throne, Azbes fulfills his life’s purpose by continuing to support the young king as he assumes leadership of the kingdom. His notable abilities are rooted in his background as an elite royal guard, encompassing exceptional combat skills, proficiency with various weapons, and sharp tactical acumen, all of which he passes on to Jordy.
