Melona is one of the primary servants of the Swamp Witch, serving as a key antagonist throughout the Queen's Blade narrative and appearing in the OVA series Queen's Blade: Beautiful Warriors. Often referred to as the Protean Assassin, she is not a typical human but an amorphous, shapeshifting slime entity crafted by her mistress to act as an intelligence operative and an agent of chaos.
Her origins lie in her unwavering loyalty to the Swamp Witch, having been created to infiltrate and destabilize the Queen's Blade tournament on her master's orders. While her primary mission is to cause confusion and spread discord, her methods are driven by a deeply ingrained, cruel sense of amusement rather than pure efficiency.
