Louise shares a local legend about chocolate with her friends Smudger Moore and Huntley Hunter, impacting their later actions. She is friends with both Smudger and Huntley and is a mutual romantic interest for them. After their acquaintance Div is captured by authorities for illegal chocolate distribution, Louise joins Smudger and Huntley to start their own bootlegging operation.
