Description
Nozomi Yumehara, known as Cure Dream in her transformed state, is a middle school student at L'École des Cinq Lumières. Initially struggling to find direction, she frequently changes interests and faces academic difficulties due to distractibility. Her path changes upon discovering the Dream Collet artifact in the school library and meeting Coco, a prince from Palmier Kingdom. Determined to aid him against the Nightmare organization by gathering 55 Pinkies for the Collet, she awakens as a Pretty Cure. Transforming into Cure Dream, the Cure of Hope, she wields starlight and crystal-based powers, declaring "The great power of hope, Cure Dream!" upon transformation.

As the pink-clad Cure Dream, she naturally emerges as the de facto leader of the Pretty Cure 5 team, uniting others through optimism while often humbly downplaying her role. Her attacks include the earth and crystal-based **Crystal Shoot**. Despite her heroic identity, she retains human flaws: academic challenges, poor cooking skills, and easy distraction by everyday things. Her expressive hair mirrors her emotions, and she frequently uses the catchphrase "It's decided!" accompanied by a signature hand gesture.

Her character evolves significantly. Her commitment to helping Coco crystallizes her own dream of becoming a teacher, inspired by his guidance. She overcomes academic hurdles through persistence, eventually tutoring peers and demonstrating improved focus. Key relationships drive her growth: a lifelong bond with Rin Natsuki (Cure Rouge) and a developing romantic connection with Coco, which later culminates in marriage. She forms strong friendships with the other Cures, emphasizing teamwork.

In *Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo!*, she regains her Cure abilities to combat the Eternal organization, further refining her skills and leadership. Later media, including *Otona PreCure '23* and *Kibou no Chikara*, depict her adult life fulfilling her dream as a dedicated teacher who maintains a positive rapport with students and supports them through challenges. Reactivating her Cure powers in adulthood causes physical strain, resulting in exhaustion and fainting spells. *Kibou no Chikara* shows her marriage to Coco, featuring their Palmier Kingdom wedding.

Her narrative consistently emphasizes hope, perseverance, and empathy. Defining moments include refusing to trivialize dreams and recognizing shared humanity in adversaries, notably sparing Desparaia. As an adult, she navigates balancing teaching duties, Cure responsibilities, and personal life, continuing to inspire through resilience and compassion. In the Korean dub, her name was changed to Isoman.
