Movie
Description
Ako Shirabe, also known as Cure Muse, is a central character in the narrative and the Princess of Major Land. She initially appears as a third-year elementary school student in Kanon Town. Her alter ego, Cure Muse, was previously concealed under the identity of the Masked Pretty Cure, who operated anonymously before her true self was revealed.

Ako has a petite stature with orange eyes and short orange hair styled in a bob. She wears magenta rectangular glasses. Her civilian attire consists of a pink shirt under light indigo overalls with cerise buttons. In her masked form as Cure Muse, her appearance becomes more mature and imposing, featuring a full black bodysuit, a large shiny mask with magenta markings and a heart-shaped gem on the forehead, platform boots, and a cape, with her eyes turning magenta. In her true Cure Muse form, her hair becomes bright orange, floor-length curls adorned with yellow ribbons. Her outfit is primarily yellow and white, comprising a blouse, a shawl with the Cure Module, a balloon skirt, and knee-length boots. A superpowered Crescendo form introduces wings, a lighter hair color, and a more elaborate white and light yellow costume with feathery cape elements.

Initially, Ako exhibits a reserved, abrasive, and cold personality. She lashes out easily and treats others, particularly those older than her, with rudeness. This behavior stemmed from the traumatic takeover of her homeland, Major Land, by Minor Land, which led her to believe she had to save everyone alone. This burden caused her to push others away. In her masked form, she is aloof and mysterious, often aiding the other Cures while insisting she is not their ally and allowing her fairy partner, Dodory, to speak for her. After revealing her identity and joining the team, her true personality emerges. She is shown to be sweet, considerate, and deeply passionate about music and singing. Despite her young age, she displays maturity and understanding beyond her years. She holds no airs of grandeur regarding her royal status and prefers to be called by her name rather than her title.

Ako is the daughter of King Mephisto and Queen Aphrodite, the rulers of Major Land, and shares a close, loving relationship with them. She deeply adores her father, and her initial motivation for becoming a Pretty Cure was to save him from evil control. She can become flustered by his occasionally awkward behavior. She lives with her maternal grandfather, Otokichi, in Kanon Town and shares a very close bond with him. Her best friend is Souta Minamino, Kanade's younger brother. Although she can act sternly towards him, she genuinely cares for him, and he is briefly implied to have romantic feelings for her, which she remains unaware of. The movie narrative introduces Suzu, a friend from Major Land. Their friendship becomes strained when Suzu claims Aphrodite is responsible for the disappearance of music, a claim Ako stubbornly refuses to believe, leading to a temporary rift between them.

Ako's past in Major Land was happy until the takeover forced her to flee to Kanon Town. She became a Pretty Cure on the day her father was compelled to steal the legendary score. To avoid confronting him directly, she operated in disguise as the Masked Cure. Her true identity was revealed when she intervened to save her father, ultimately helping to break the evil control over him by gathering the courage to fight him, which restored his senses.

In the movie's storyline, Ako and her father prepare to return to Major Land when they discover music is vanishing from their homeland, and its citizens are being turned into stone. Ako's friend Suzu accuses Queen Aphrodite of being responsible. Ako initially refuses to believe these accusations against her mother, causing a disagreement with Suzu. This event forces Ako to confront the possibility that her family and kingdom are in grave danger. Ako and Mephisto investigate the castle, where Ako becomes trapped by a possessed Aphrodite. She is freed through the power of her bond with her father, who remembers and sings her favorite song. The crisis is revealed to be caused by the villain Howling, who had possessed Aphrodite. Ako transforms into Cure Muse and fights alongside the other Cures. The collective hope of the petrified citizens, channeled through Suzu and the Healing Chest, empowers the Cures to defeat Howling. Following these events, Ako apologizes for her previous harsh and selfish behavior. She decides to remain in Kanon Town with her friends to continue fighting threats while promising to become a better friend and daughter, showing significant personal growth.

As Cure Muse, her transformation sequence is initiated with the phrase "Let's Play! Pretty Cure Modulation!" using the Cure Module and her fairy partner, Dodory. She does not possess a dedicated purification weapon, instead utilizing the Cure Module for attacks. With the assistance of another fairy tone, Shiry, she can perform attacks such as Shining Circle and Sparkling Shower. In a superpowered state, she gains the ability to perform combination attacks like Suite Session Ensemble Crescendo.

At nine years old, Ako is the youngest main Pretty Cure in the franchise. Her name, Shirabe, incorporates the meaning of "tone" or "playing music," while Ako is derived from "acoustic," fitting the series' musical theme. Her Cure name, Muse, is inspired by the Greek goddesses of inspiration for the arts.
