Description
Terry The Kid, son of legendary Texan wrestler Terryman and Japanese reporter Natsuko Shōno, is Japanese-American. He initially resented Mantaro Kinniku and the Kinniku Clan, believing Kinnikuman stole glory from his father. This resentment extended to Terryman himself; Terry The Kid rejected comparisons to his father and vowed to surpass Mantaro to prove his family's superiority. Their strained relationship stemmed from Terryman's strict training methods, which included subjecting him to a death match against Volcano during his youth.

Raised in Amarillo, Texas, he faced school bullying from the jujitsu chojin Volcano, who repeatedly defeated him and seized control of his wrestling club. While training to confront Volcano, Terryman introduced the family tradition of daily tree stump removal. As Terry The Kid struggled with this task, Volcano and former teammates mocked him, provoking a death-match challenge. Inspired by Terryman's courage after an injury, Terry The Kid trained relentlessly. He discovered a four-leaf clover beneath a stump, inspiring his signature Texas Clover-Hold technique. He used this hold to defeat Volcano, earning Terryman's pride and securing his first significant victory.

At the Hercules Factory, Terry The Kid continued antagonizing Mantaro, mocking him as a spoiled weakling and sabotaging his training. His perspective shifted during Mantaro's steel-cage match against Anaconda. After Anaconda injured him, Kinnikuman treated his wound with Terryman's handkerchief and shared stories of Terryman's selflessness and friendship with Kinnikuman—including Terryman valuing friendship over trophies. This revelation ended his grudge. He assisted Mantaro by spitting peanuts to weaken Anaconda, marking the start of their friendship. He graduated ranked #3 in the New Generations with "Best Technique" honors and was assigned to defend Osaka.

Though becoming Mantaro's trusted ally, Terry The Kid maintained an independent streak and occasionally argued with him. He participated in the Chojin Olympics but forfeited to save a drowning boy, echoing Terryman's past sacrifice. His abilities emphasize technical wrestling and submission holds over raw power. Techniques like the Texas Clover-Hold, Voltage Bomb, and 1,000,000 Million Dollar Kick often require momentum for full effectiveness but can be deployed in emergencies. Physically resembling Terryman, he has blond hair with spiked bangs, a "K" symbol on his forehead, blue eyes, and fair skin. He typically wears white trousers, a blue sleeveless shirt exposing his midsection, and matching blue protective gear.

In later storylines, Terry The Kid defeated Rex King but grew complacent, leading to his loss against Scarface in the HF First Year Replacement Tournament. His appearances became less frequent, often in supportive roles, and he lost in the Chojin Olympics preliminaries. He accepted a secondary role to characters like Kevin Mask, Mantaro's primary rival.

Terry The Kid stands 190 cm tall, weighs 86 kg, and possesses a Choujin Power rating of 1,050,000. His speech patterns include referring to himself as "Me" (ミー) and others as "You" (ユー). He is called "Kid," distinguishing him from Terryman who is typically called "Terry."
