Description
Kinniku Mantarou is the 59th prince of Planet Kinniku, son of King Suguru Kinniku (Kinnikuman) and Queen Bibimba. Raised in an era of peace following his father's annulment of past fight records, Mantarou developed a spoiled, lazy, and cowardly nature, preferring leisure over training. He remained unaware of Suguru's heroic legacy until encountering the cyrogenically preserved advisor Meat Alexandria, who became his trainer. Early training was later handled by Ramenman.

He possesses blue eyes, pale skin, an average human height, and a muscular build. Mantarou wears the Kinniku clan's signature face-mask, with a tuft of brown hair sprouting from his forehead and a head fin common on his planet. His standard attire is a dark blue short-sleeved leotard featuring a yellow vertical stripe and light blue left side, adorned with a "KIN" chest emblem, dark brown gloves, and yellow boots.

Personality-wise, Mantarou often exhibits cowardice in initial confrontations, hesitating to fight. However, when friends are endangered or opponents act dishonorably, he activates the hereditary "Burning Inner Strength" (Kajiba no Kuso Djikara), marked by the Niku symbol appearing on his forehead, amplifying his physical abilities and resolve. He also displays lecherous tendencies, frequently attempting to sneak into adult establishments like cabarets despite his young age.

Key relationships define his journey: his one-sided crush on Rinko Nikaido evolved into a mutual friendship; Jacqueline Muscle developed affection during the Chojin Olympics after witnessing his bravery; Kevin Mask began as a rival rejecting Mantarou's friendship offers, their antagonism peaking during the Demon Seed Arc before evolving into a partnership by the Ultimate Tag Tournament; Mantarou immediately recognized Chaos Avenir's potential, mentoring him to build confidence, forming a deep bond including mutual trust like allowing Chaos to tie his mask, tragically ending with Chaos's death—a pivotal motivator for Mantarou's subsequent actions.

His base Choujin Power is 930,000, escalating with Burning Inner Strength. Initial techniques borrowed from Suguru include the Kinniku Buster (sitdown neck/spine drop) and Kinniku Driver (inverted canvas slam). He later developed original finishers like the Muscle Millennium (slingshot-assisted aerial headbutt) and Muscle Gravity (gravity-enhanced Kinniku Buster variant). Other techniques are the Mantaro Bomb (high-angle tiger bomb) and the multi-stage Iroha Hell Tour submission. A critical weakness stems from Kinniku royal law: mask removal incurs a death penalty, forcing him to protect it at all costs.

His story arc spans multiple conflicts: during the Hercules Factory Arc, forced into training, he defeated Suguru in a cage match to graduate, though low rankings assigned him to guard a minor Tokyo park; in the d.M.p Arc, he fought villains like Tel-Tel Boy (exploiting rainwater for victory) and MAXman, leading to Kevin Mask's defection; at the Chojin Olympics, he lost to Kevin Mask in the manga but won in the anime, later fleeing in shame after the manga loss and returning to defeat General Devil in the Demon Seed Arc; partnered with Chaos Avenir in the Ultimate Tag Tournament, dedicating their final match to Chaos after his death, later teaming with Kevin Mask to solidify their rivalry-turned-alliance.

Distinctive traits include his love for galbi bowl (beef rice), which he celebrates in song, and a linguistic quirk of replacing "masu" verb endings with "Muscle" in Japanese media.
