Description
Suguru Kinniku, known as Kinnikuman, is prince and eventual king of Planet Kinniku. Mistaken for a pig by his vacationing parents, he was abandoned on Earth as an infant. He grew up alone, constructing a one-room dwelling and struggling academically. Initially clumsy, lazy, and emotionally immature, he pursued careers like kaiju fighting before becoming president of the Gyudon Lovers Club. His early heroism involved comedic misadventures, such as using garlic to grow 30 meters tall for battles, often causing collateral damage due to his clumsiness.

Maturity came through wrestling, particularly in the Chojin Olympics, where he proved his worth as a Kinniku clan member. His personality shifted from arrogance and cowardice to profound courage and nobility during pivotal fights. He forged a deep bond with fellow Justice Chojin Terryman, marked by unwavering trust despite occasional conflicts. He also developed a romance with Bibimba, an assassin initially sent to kill him. Her persistence led to mutual affection, engagement at the Universal Tag Tournament, marriage, and a son, Mantaro Kinniku. Suguru prioritized a normal paternal relationship over his heroic legacy.

Physically, he wears a mask with exaggerated features and a fin-like back piece, concealing a conventionally handsome face. His muscular build altered in later years; by "Kinnikuman Nisei," age reduced his muscle mass, added a large stomach, and imposed physical limitations, though his tactical knowledge endured. Abilities include signature wrestling techniques like the Kinniku Buster and Kinniku Driver, alongside "Burning Inner Strength," enabling dramatic comebacks in dire fights. Early powers—flight via flatulence and giant transformation—were phased out as the series emphasized wrestling.

In "Kinnikuman no Kōtsū Anzen," he collaborates with Terryman and Meat to dismantle a devil chojin’s "Traffic Hell Land" theme park. As a protector, he uses wrestling to teach traffic safety to children trapped there. His later years involved mentoring the next generation, including cryogenically preserving Meat to train Mantaro. Despite efforts to shield Mantaro from his past, Suguru’s legacy resurfaced during threats like the dMp's rise, compelling his son to embrace the Kinniku heritage. As king, he intermittently returned to Earth to combat new evils, upholding his commitment to justice.
