Description
Emily fled home after witnessing an argument between her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Wandering unfamiliar streets, she spotted a fluffy cat and followed it into a magic shop. Inside, she saw the woman and cat transform into a fairy. Emily screamed, calling the woman a witch, which accidentally activated a curse turning the woman into a magic frog. This event led Emily to become a witch apprentice to eventually reverse the curse.

Generally optimistic and striving to stay cheerful, Emily is friendly, perky, and outgoing, forming friendships with individuals like Chris, Nina, Leslie, Kelly, Brit, Miyako, and Kumo. Despite her positive nature, she experiences emotional highs and lows, crying uncontrollably when upset and kicking and screaming when angry. She can be notably stubborn, refusing to admit she's wrong even when aware of her mistake, sometimes resorting to lies to support her arguments. She gives up easily when bored or frustrated. A significant fear of disappointing others leads her to create convincing lies when put on the spot, though her friend Chris often detects them. She exhibits obsession, diving deeply into topics of interest and sharing extensive, sometimes trivial, information. Emily values honesty and openness, believing being true to oneself is essential for genuine friendships, though her bluntness can occasionally hurt feelings. She enjoys creative activities like writing and drawing, often creating her own illustrated storybooks.

In her youth, Emily has caramel brown hair reaching her mid-back, styled with three neatly cut square bangs, and green-hazel eyes. As she ages, her hair darkens and becomes messier, with looser bangs framing her face, while her eyes darken to brown. Her typical attire includes a blue shirt with puffed sleeves and an empire waist, paired with a belt featuring a golden ring fastener, jean shorts, blue socks, pink sneakers, and a bracelet with a blue "E" on her right wrist. Later, she wears a blue sleeveless hoodie reminiscent of Doremi's later outfits over a dark purple tee-shirt, alternating between baggy jeans and shorts seasonally, typically with runners or boots.

As the sky blue apprentice witch, Emily harbored a long-standing fascination with magic and adventure stories, viewing them as an escape from her unstable home life. She frequently engaged in imaginative play in her yard, crafting adventures. Her mentor is Majoeleanor, a calm and kind witch who tolerates Emily's loud and clumsy nature, though Emily's fairy, Bobo, often scolds her. Despite never failing a witch test, Emily faced challenges reaching them due to her need for sleep. When focused, she demonstrates intelligence and skill in solving puzzles. She dislikes flying due to a fear of heights and preferring to keep her feet on the ground. Her transformation phrase is "Pretty Witchy Emi-chi!", her spell incantation "Papiru Papiru Palalu Pirupii~", and her magical stage call "Papiru Papiru Azayaka Ni~" (Brightly). Emily's crystal ball is shaped like a spade. Her fairy companion, Lily, received her name because "lili" was the only word Emily could say when they first met. Initially, Emily underestimated Lily due to her clumsiness and perceived dimwittedness, but grew to appreciate her company. They often bond over activities like playing video games, which Lily enjoys despite appearing slower.

Emily has an older brother, Matthew, who is quiet and often absent. Her stepsister Nina, the same age, is also a witch and one of Emily's closest friends. Emily's younger sister, Caitlin, secretly admires and looks up to her, though they frequently argue and complain about each other, maintaining a relationship akin to best friends. Caitlin shares similarities with Pop Harukaze and later becomes a witch apprentice herself. Emily's younger brother, Connor, enjoys balloons, water, cuddles, and having his hair played with. Emily has a particular fondness for him, loving babies and small children. Emily's parents divorced when she was four. Her father often appeared depressed during visits, contributing to a strained relationship. Both parents come from lower-middle-class backgrounds, a circumstance Emily generally accepted without complaint.

Emily has a stalker named Tabitha. She serves as a mascot character for Doremi-Roleplay. Some of her outfits were designed by her friend Chris. She encountered significant difficulties in school, resulting in two expulsions and frequent visits to the principal's office. Her personality and clumsy magic draw comparisons to Doremi, and their clothing styles share similarities. Emily often admires her talented friends, particularly Nina and Chris.
