Description
Ms. Sanada serves as the head maid for the Valhalla Royal Family and arrives on Earth following Princess Valkyrie's departure. A catgirl and Valkyrie's most ardent supporter, she displays extreme devotion and finds Valkyrie's child form exceptionally cute.
Her personality is marked by intense excitement and joy whenever Valkyrie does something she finds adorable, often reacting with screaming. She is highly skilled in cooking and regularly assists with meals at the Tokino residence. Her behavior occasionally crosses into insanity, such as creating a catgirl army by transforming girls Kazuto interacted with using a ray gun. She possesses combat proficiency and weapon knowledge, demonstrated during her superhero alter ego in Season 3. These antics sometimes unsettle others, leading to her imprisonment twice for spying on Valkyrie. Despite these tendencies, she has calm moments and is fundamentally a loving and caring individual who respects figures like Princess Mehm or Inarba. She holds a particular intolerance for Princess Laine due to pre-existing grievances from their time at Valhalla Palace.
She first appears in episode 3, arriving at Earth's airport disguised in a coat, hat, and sunglasses. Customs officials discover her luggage can assemble into a small gun, and her passport confirms her Valhalla Royal Family affiliation. She immediately seeks out Valkyrie at the Tokino Bathhouse, reacting with intense emotion to Valkyrie's child form due to overwhelming adoration. After moving in, she dedicates herself to Valkyrie and plans a wedding between her and Kazuto. A misunderstanding regarding Kazuto's interaction with Akina leads her to construct a cat ray gun, creating the Catgirl Maid Squadron from girls Kazuto encountered. This escalates into a confrontation with Akina and Hydra until Kazuto and Valkyrie intervene.
She remains a whimsical yet kind-hearted maid who orders a video camera to document Valkyrie's life, resulting in awkward recordings and attempts to film Valkyrie sleeping. She accompanies the main characters on a sponsored beach vacation and follows them to an asteroid home after an accidental relocation. When Princess Mehm separates Kazuto and Valkyrie, she is forced to accompany Mehm but is eventually reunited.
In Season 2, her loyalty to Valkyrie and adjustment to life on Earth remain consistent. Her friendship with Princess Mehm deepens beyond a formal royal relationship. She learns about Ghost Valkyrie and develops similar affection for this entity. A defective space bath soap incident reverts everyone, including her, into children while Valkyrie becomes an adult. Her child self is doted on by her catgirl maids, and upon returning to normal, she chastises them for not aiding Valkyrie. She participates in a singing competition to win a television and assists in defeating Ghost Valkyrie.
Season 3 involves her arrest on two occasions for secretly spying on Valkyrie at Laine and Chorus' house.
Her relationships are defined by unwavering obedience and devotion to Princess Valkyrie. She admires Kazuto Tokino for his kindness and generosity, referring to him as "Princess' fiance." She maintains a good friendship with Rika Tokino, despite Rika occasionally dealing with her eccentric behavior. Initially, she perceived Akina Nanamura as a threat and attacked her, but after the misunderstanding was resolved, she became friends with Akina. Her dislike for Princess Laine is rooted in Laine's attempts to steal Valkyrie away. She holds lesser regard for Princess Hydra compared to Valkyrie, and her relationship with Princess Chorus is unclear, though she shows care for Chorus in some scenes.
