Description
Aquarius Camus serves as the Gold Saint guarding Athena's eleventh temple, bearing the constellation Aquarius. Hailing from France, he endured rigorous training in Siberia before ascending to his rank. He mentors Cygnus Hyoga and Kraken Isaac in the manga, while the anime designates the Crystal Saint as their primary instructor.

Camus champions emotional control, believing Gold Saints must embody composure to prevent despair. This manifests as an outwardly stoic demeanor, masking inner kindness and fierce loyalty to his ideals. Aware of the former Pope's corruption, he initially maintains neutrality, prioritizing duty and strategic assessment over action. His commitment to Hyoga's growth is profound, rigorously training him to achieve absolute zero for survival against powerful foes.

In the Sanctuary arc, Camus confronts Hyoga at the Aquarius Temple as a final test, pushing his pupil to master the Aurora Execution. Camus falls to Hyoga, expressing pride in his dedication to Athena as he dies. Resurrected as a Specter in the Hades arc under false allegiance, he joins fellow Gold Saints on a treacherous mission to Athena's temple in the Underworld. This culminates in their collective sacrifice, using the forbidden Athena Exclamation to destroy the Wailing Wall, enabling the Bronze Saints' passage to Elysion.

*Episode G* depicts Camus defending Sanctuary against Pontos and the Titans. He engages in significant battles, freezing the Megas Drepanon with Freezing Coffin and confronting Oceanus. His tactical prowess shines against Cronos' giants, collaborating with Scorpio Milo to breach the Pearl Dragon's barrier. In *Soul of Gold*, resurrected in Asgard, he aids the Einherjar and fellow Gold Saints against Anubis' forces, motivated by a promise to a fallen comrade.

Camus wields ice-based techniques powered by his Golden Cosmo, including Diamond Dust (a freezing wind attack), Freezing Coffin (encasing targets in ice), and his ultimate Aurora Execution (reaching near-absolute zero). He also contributes his cosmos to the collective Athena Exclamation. His appearance features light skin and red eyes; the manga depicts red hair, while the anime shows long turquoise hair and blue eyes. He typically wears his gold armor or training attire, even in freezing environments.

His deaths occur across storylines: battling Hyoga at the Aquarius Temple, at Dignity Hill after the Athena Exclamation, at Hades' castle in Germany, and in the Underworld's Judecca after the Wailing Wall's destruction. His name references the French philosopher Albert Camus, reflecting thematic elements of existential duty.
