Amano Jaku is a hybrid being, born of human and demon parentage, who was banished from the demon world to Earth as punishment for his misdeeds. He receives a mission from the Great Elder to locate the prophesied Chōjin, or Overfiend, a god destined to unite the human, demon, and beast-man worlds. His centuries-long quest is initially driven by the belief that the Chōjin will create a harmonious realm. He is depicted with dark violet hair and black eyes. His relationships include his nymphomaniac sister Megumi, his lover Mimi who is the Elder’s granddaughter and whose orgasms trigger prophetic visions, and his rival Suikakujū, a demon who seeks to destroy the Chōjin. His path is marked by disillusionment, as the Chōjin’s destructive awakening betrays his ideals, forcing him to reassess his loyalty. In later apocalyptic settings, he becomes a protector and guardian, leading survivors and enduring as an immortal being caught in cyclical fate.
