TV-Series
Description
Initially serving warlock Don Harumage as a comic relief antagonist in *NG Knight Lamune & 40*, Da Cider partners with Lesqua and the robotic snake Hebi Metako. His exaggerated shoulder pauldrons function as dimensional portals for Hebi Metako, aiding in summoning his mecha Queen Cideron; Hebi Metako often laughs at Da Cider's intentionally poor puns, though other characters typically ignore or mock them. A pivotal story arc reveals his true heritage as the descendant of the original hero Cider, brainwashed into villainy. This discovery triggers his transition to deuteragonist, joining protagonist Lamune Baba against Goburiki. Despite this Heel–Face Turn, he retains a stubborn, arrogant personality, maintaining a rivalry with Lamune and often positioning himself as the true hero. His relationship with Lesqua evolves from villainous partnership into genuine romance, though he continues superficial flirting with others.

In the sequel *VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fire*, he mentors and co-pilots the Kaiser Fire mecha alongside Lamune's son, Lamunade Baba. His original mecha Queen Cideron is destroyed early on. He struggles with his diminished role due to age-related restrictions on heroism but remains committed against threats like Aburahm. During this series, both he and Lesqua are temporarily brainwashed by Don Genosai into attacking the heroes while wearing dominatrix-inspired attire, before being freed. His background explores themes of loneliness and a search for belonging, as referenced in his character song "*L!O!V!E!! Out-Sider*". OVAs like *NG Knight Lamune & 40 DX* emphasize his comedic traits through scenarios like pursuing other women to provoke Lesqua's jealousy, highlighting his flawed but loyal personality. He also appears in expanded media such as the light novel *Gaiden: Da Cider Densetsu* and the mobile game *Super Robot Wars Cross Omega*.
