TV-Series
Description
Sanada, head maid of the Valhalla Royal Family, pursues Princess Valkyrie to Earth after her disappearance, finding her transformed into a child at the Tokino Bathhouse due to sharing half her soul with Kazuto Tokino. Sanada exhibits fierce devotion to Valkyrie, especially captivated by her child form, reacting with intense enthusiasm to her actions. This loyalty drives her to declare Kazuto Valkyrie's official fiancé and champion their union.

After misinterpreting Kazuto's platonic interaction with childhood friend Akina Nanamura as infidelity, Sanada invents a "Cat Ear Gun" to transform local girls into a brainwashed Catgirl Maid Squad—primarily those with incidental ties to Kazuto. She commands them to assault Akina at her shrine, triggering a large battle intensified by Hydra's arrival. Post-misunderstanding resolution, Sanada apologizes to Akina but leaves the girls permanently altered as cat-eared maids who wear maid outfits and obey her whistle summons while living normally otherwise. Sanada rarely recalls their names.

Residing at Tokino Bathhouse, Sanada assists household chores while zealously supporting Valkyrie and Kazuto: filming Valkyrie's daily life, planning their wedding, and joining group trips like Valkyrie-sponsored beach vacations. Her dynamic with Princess Laine stays strained from historical Valhalla conflicts over Valkyrie's attention, while her bond with Princess Mehm evolves into a close friendship beyond formal roles.

In Season 2, Sanada engages in activities including a singing contest and using experimental space bath soap that briefly reverts her to childhood. Her child form suffers the same fervent adoration from her catgirl maids that she directs at Valkyrie, resulting in comedic payback later.

Season 3 reveals Sanada's "Cat Eared Maiden" superhero persona to aid Valkyrie and Kazuto. She faces imprisonment twice for spying on Valkyrie at Laine and Chorus' residence and participates in a treasure hunt ritual, gifting Valkyrie a handmade figurine of her superhero identity afterward.

Her Earth connections include admiration for Kazuto's kindness, a tolerant friendship with Rika Tokino despite occasional annoyance at Sanada's antics, and mutual respect with Akina after their initial clash.
