Description
Cosmo Yuki, a 16-year-old colonist on the frontier planet Solo, began his life under the care of an archaeologist father until the Buff Clan’s devastating invasion forced him into the cockpit of the Ideon’s Ideo-Delta unit. His fiery temperament, mirrored by a shock of crimson afro, masked a sharp perceptiveness that evolved into tactical brilliance despite his youth. As the Ideon’s lead pilot, he clashed relentlessly with Solo Ship’s captain, Bes Jordan, their rivalry tempered by unspoken respect.

The war’s brutality—marked by the loss of allies like the maternal Camyula—steeled his resolve, transmuting sorrow into an unyielding drive that aligned him with the Ide, an ancient force binding the Ideon and Solo Ship to a cycle of destruction. Surviving crew members leaned on his instincts as battles intensified, particularly when the Ideon’s survival became entangled with Piper Lou, a refugee infant, and Karala Ajiba’s unborn child, Messiah.

Karala, a Buff Clan exile, altered his path irrevocably. A life-saving blood transfusion after combat injuries marked their tenuous alliance. His defiance of authority surfaced again when confronting Sheryl Formosa, a linguist fixated on the Ide, over her ethical transgressions.

In the war’s climax, Cosmo spearheaded a suicidal strike against Buff Clan commanders Gando Rowa and Bairal Jin, knowingly unleashing the Ide’s apocalyptic will. The Ideon’s self-destruction obliterated both armies and much of the Buff Clan fleet. He died alone, the Solo Ship’s final crewmember, executing the Ide’s mandate to purge the universe through annihilation.
