Densuke Matsuo is the male assistant director of a struggling radio program, acting as the director's right-hand man. He ensures smooth broadcast operations and specifically supports the android announcer, Maico, during her initial adaptation to the studio environment.

The director regularly subjects Densuke to physical aggression, using him as a primary target for frustration during stressful production crises. Despite this persistent mistreatment, Densuke remains passionately dedicated to the program's success and committed to his production work. His efforts, however, are often undercut by his own mistakes, adding to the studio's chaos alongside the incompetence of colleagues.

He exists within a team largely characterized as untalented and unsuccessful. Among them, only Densuke and Ume, the sound effects technician, demonstrate consistent hard work, standing apart from peers who exert minimal effort or actively hinder production. Densuke clearly admires Maico, offering her steadfast support amidst the radio station's dysfunction.

The toxic environment culminates when the director delivers a severe personal insult during a conflict, sparking a confrontation requiring staff intervention.
