Worsel is a dragon-like Velantian serving as a Galactic Patrol Lensman. He flies and wields an extensive arsenal of weapons, making him a formidable combatant against Boskone forces.

He first appears rescuing Kim Kinnison from captivity within Catlat plants after detecting Kim's telepathic distress call through the Lens, despite initially being unaware of Kim's mission importance. Following this rescue, Worsel assists in freeing additional allies, including Chris and Van Buskirk, devising and executing an elaborate escape plan to ensure their safe transit to Radelix.

His ingenuity and expertise in Lensman protocols and tactics prove invaluable to Kim Kinnison, both for personal guidance and during joint operations. Worsel participates in key engagements against Boskone, notably a high-speed chase through a thionite processing plant on Radelix involving speeder bikes, explosions, and structural destruction aimed at disrupting Boskone's narcotics operations.
