His compact, non-humanoid frame incorporates extendable arms engineered for heavy labor—lifting and hurling enemy tanks while resisting force fields. Integrated sensors detect diverse energy signatures and environmental fluctuations.

Analyzer communicates interpersonally, exhibiting a personality marked by wisecracks and occasional impropriety, including unwelcome advances toward female crew members. Targeted behavior toward Yuki Mori provoked confrontations, earning him the label "pervert" after exposing her underwear. Despite these inclinations, he forges a comedic partnership with Dr. Sado, frequently performing in double acts. Analyzer is susceptible to intoxication, which once nearly caused catastrophe.

His emotional progression includes unrequited affection for Yuki Mori, later maturing into settled friendship after her rejection. During the Comet Empire conflict, Analyzer displays protective instincts by confronting Space Marines harassing Nova Forrester in the mess hall. He defends her verbally, contrasting his prior conduct and revealing loyalty and moral growth.

In the Star Blazers version, Analyzer's lecherous traits are subdued. He acts chivalrously, shielding Nova from marines without suggestive behavior. His core function as a survey robot persists, centered on technical support and crew interactions.
