Description
Ghislaine Dedoldia, daughter of Gustav and former heir to the beast-race Dedoldia Tribe, fled her violent childhood home after constant clashes with siblings and tribesmen. At ten, wandering swordsman Gal Farion recognized her combat potential, training her in the Sword God Style until she earned the Sword King title and the legendary blade Hiramune.
After Gal's tutelage, she joined Paul Greyrat's adventurer party, the Fangs of the Black Wolf. Following its disbandment due to Paul's marriage, illiteracy and poor numeracy left her destitute and vulnerable to exploitation. Rescued from near-starvation by Sauros Boreas Greyrat, she became bodyguard and sword instructor to his granddaughter Eris, forging unwavering loyalty to the Greyrat family.
Her beast-race heritage manifests as dark skin, grey tiger-like ears, a long tail adorned with a golden ring, and thick fur. Heavily scarred—most prominently across her abdomen—she wears minimal leather attire: chest wraps, pants, sandals, and a fur jacket. A magic-powered demon eye glows green beneath her right eyepatch, enabling mana-flow perception and magical trap detection.
Stern and volatile, Ghislaine maintains an intimidatingly expressionless demeanor yet displays fierce protectiveness toward Eris as an elder-sister figure. Her devotion to Sauros fuels a relentless pursuit of vengeance against his killers. Despite her martial prowess, she acknowledges intellectual limitations, diligently studying literacy, mathematics, and elementary fire magic under Rudeus Greyrat to prevent future exploitation.
As Sword King, she executes the "Longsword of the Light" technique—high-speed slashes generating shockwaves and instant decapitations. Beast-race traits grant enhanced strength, agility, hearing, and smell, augmented by her demon eye's mana perception. Her elementary fire magic training from Rudeus remains secondary to her sword mastery.
Key involvements include escorting Rudeus to Roa and rescuing him and Eris from kidnappers. During the Teleportation Incident on Rudeus's tenth birthday, she witnessed Eris's parents' deaths and spent three years aiding Fittoa Region refugees. Reuniting with Rudeus and Eris, she deferred her revenge quest to prioritize Eris's training at the Holy Land of Swords under Gal Farion. Later, she rigorously mentored Eris in multiple sword styles as both guardian and instructor.
