TV-Series
Description
Almanfi, designated Almanfi of the Bright, emerges as a spirit familiar forged by the Armored Dragon King Perugius Dola through ancient Summoning Magic from the Six-Faced World era. As one of twelve loyal servants bound to Perugius, he embodies unwavering loyalty, sharp wit, and pride in his duties. His striking visage features blonde hair swept into a ponytail beside his right ear, a yellow fox-like mask concealing his face, and a tailored ensemble of a crisp white blazer and trousers. A double-edged short sword with a rectangular knuckle bow rests horizontally at his waist, often gripped in reverse readiness.

Functioning as Perugius’s scout and combatant, Almanfi dissolves into light for instantaneous travel and covert reconnaissance, though this form nullifies offensive strikes. Upon materializing, his diminished agility compels reliance on tactical dagger ambushes. Despite such constraints, he duels adversaries like Sword King Ghislaine Dedoldia on equal footing, evading even her Longsword of Light technique. His signature teleportation—executed without magic circles—grants unmatched stealth, while his spirit nature allows revival within Perugius’s floating fortress, Chaos Breaker, should destruction occur.

Almanfi’s pivotal contributions include investigating the pre-Teleport Incident mana surge in Fittoa, where he clashed briefly with Ghislaine while confronting Rudeus and Eris Greyrat’s group. Withdrawing before the cataclysmic mana explosion scattered populations globally, he later proved instrumental as Perugius’s "Eye," relaying visual intelligence and identifying Laplace’s reincarnations through keen observation.

A linguistic twist involving the homophones "Bright" (光輝, *kōki*) and "dignified" (高貴, *kōki*) led to his accidental summoning by Rudeus during a botched protective beast conjuring. Almanfi swiftly nullified the contract, prioritizing fealty to Perugius over unintended allegiance.

Anime adaptations embellish his combat feats in light form, contrasting original narratives that highlight non-combat roles, such as blinding Rudeus with radiant bursts. His creation ties to the Dragon Tribe’s teleportation research and the Six-Faced World’s geopolitical strife.

Consistently portrayed as Perugius’s unwavering agent, Almanfi lacks personal arcs, instead shaping events through dutiful command execution and guardianship of arcane secrets integral to the realm’s mystical underpinnings.
