Description
Shū Rei Fuan, also known as Kento Rei Faung or Xiu Lihuang in various localizations, serves as a member of the Ronin Warriors, or Samurai Troopers. He bears the Armor of Hardrock, embodying the element of Earth and the virtue of Gi, or Justice. This armor possesses a violent nature and grants immense physical strength, enabling him to perform such feats as halting speeding trucks even when unarmored. His primary weapon is a versatile implement that transforms into a three-section staff, a naginata, or functions as nunchaku in close quarters. His signature technique, the Iron Rock Crusher (Gantessai in Japanese), channels earth energy to generate a powerful, quake-like disruption.

Righteous and kind-hearted, he holds a profound love for justice and scorns moral weakness and corruption. His disposition is frantic, positive, and sunny, often driving him to seek activity, though he occasionally experiences loneliness beneath his cheerful exterior. He exhibits a tremendous appetite, famously consuming ten hamburgers and five or six bento boxes before breakfast. His hobbies include eating, arm-wrestling in arcades, playing video games, mountain climbing, and practicing Tai Chi. Favorite sports are judo, kung fu, and rugby, and he holds a dislike for specific foods such as konjac and edible bird's nest. Despite hailing from a wealthy family, he displays no snobbishness.

His prosperous family lives in Yokohama's Chinatown. His father is a well-dressed, dignified Chinese man, and his mother, a martial arts expert with a generous heart, raised the children with strong values. He has four younger siblings: a sister named Rinfi, three years his junior; a brother named Yun; a mischievous younger brother, Meiryu; and a youngest sister, Chunfa. The family operates a successful Chinese restaurant chain. In his youth, he defended his younger brothers after they broke a family heirloom in the storehouse; during this event, he discovered a glowing pearl that revealed the kanji for "righteousness" when he held it, awakening his spirit of justice.

During the conflict against the Dynasty, he initially displayed a hot temper, often rushing into battle believing brute force alone would suffice. This impulsivity led to errors, such as being deceived into attacking a comrade. Over time, he learned greater calm and situational awareness. His journey included capture and having his power drained to forge an enemy weapon, though he was later rescued. He took part in the final battle that ended in the defeat of the demon emperor.

In the OVA *Gaiden*, he won a local lottery and allocated a portion to organize a birthday party for a fellow warrior. He then traveled to the United States to investigate the disappearance of another ally, visiting his uncle's restaurant in Chinatown and assisting in a battle against a possessed armor suit.

In the OVA *Kikoutei Densetsu*, he was depicted surfing and later journeyed to Africa as part of the ongoing mission. He acquired a new suit of armor in the OVA *Message*, though its specific capabilities were not elaborated.

His relationships with other warriors form a key aspect of his life. He is a childhood friend of Rowen Hashiba, having met through Rowen's paternal grandfather, and shares a close bond with Cye Mouri, with whom he rooms and engages in activities like surfing. He maintains a rivalry with the Dark Warlord Dais, ultimately defeating him after learning to focus his power and unlock his armor's true potential at Mount Aso.
