Description
J began his career as a battle racer in the Ōgami Corps, trained by Dr. Ōgami to embrace a win-at-all-costs philosophy and employ destructive tactics. A pivotal defeat by the Seiba brothers during the Mikuni's Five Star Land event sparked his appreciation for fair competition, leading him to abandon the Ōgami Corps. He renounced battle racing methods, destroyed his car's air brake weapon controller, and moved in with Dr. Tsuchiya as a laboratory assistant.

This shift catalyzed significant personal development, transforming him from an introverted and emotionally reserved individual into a more cheerful, expressive, and socially engaged person. His technical expertise, honed under Ōgami, made him the primary mechanic and technician for the TRF Victorys team. Key demonstrations of his skills include repairing Ryo Takaba's heavily damaged Tridagger X as an act of reconciliation, co-designing and constructing Go Seiba's Cyclone Magnum, and independently developing the Proto Saber Evolution with its specialized Dolphin System for enhanced aquatic track performance.

J maintained a notably close friendship with Go Seiba, frequently collaborating on technical projects and racing strategies. He exhibited deep emotional attachment to his machines, particularly evident when reacting to damage sustained by the Proto Saber Evolution during races involving Ray Ijikata.

He had yellow hair and blue eyes, frequently wearing a headband and earphones except during school or sleep. His typical attire consisted of a blue-light jacket, a dark blue t-shirt featuring a "JB" logo on the right torso, light blue pants, and bluish boots.

His racing machines evolved alongside his character. His initial vehicle, the Proto Saber JB, featured remotely activated air brakes capable of disrupting or damaging opponents' cars—a function he permanently disabled after rejecting battle racing. He transitioned to the Proto Saber Evolution, a balanced support-focused machine devoid of offensive capabilities. In the sequel series *Return Racers*, he continued developing his machines, utilizing advanced iterations like the Proto-Saber Evolution Stage-3 and Stage-4. The "JB" designation signified his association with the blue variant among multiple color-coded Proto Sabers created by Ōgami.
