Description
Edward Brighton, the blonde-haired, green-eyed younger brother of Arthur Brighton, belongs to a noble family. Energetic and playful, he develops an immediate close bond with Lynn Russell upon her arrival in England. Edward consistently demonstrates strong protective instincts, prioritizing Lynn's well-being and acting on her behalf. Like his brother, he possesses equestrian skill, though he initially faces rejection from the horse Alessandra, who permits only Arthur and Lynn to ride her. This changes significantly when Edward successfully rides Alessandra to intervene and prevent Lynn from returning to Japan, marking a key moment in their relationship.

His dynamic with Lynn evolves from childhood friendship into deeper mutual affection over time, contrasting with Arthur's more reserved relationship with Sarah Russell. Edward experiences periods of unrequited feelings, believing Lynn might not reciprocate his emotions, particularly when comparing himself to his brother. These feelings resolve as their bond strengthens, culminating in a romantic relationship and eventual marriage in the sequel manga continuity.

In "Hello! Lady Lynn," Edward attends Winston Churchill Boarding Academy while maintaining his connection to Lynn. He remains a skilled equestrian and becomes an object of romantic interest for Vivian Spencer, though his feelings for Lynn persist. His role involves supporting Lynn as she navigates challenges at Saint Patrick Academy and pursues the Lady Crest honor.

Edward's character arc shows development from a spirited child to a more mature young man, balancing his noble upbringing with genuine emotional loyalty. His relationship with Lynn remains central, driving key actions and reflecting his consistent protective nature.
