Description
Rosalie is a ghost who died 140 years before the main story. In life, she was the graceful daughter of a wealthy Nascúte merchant family. Her existence shattered when her father, burdened by immense debt, deceived her with promises of a noble marriage while secretly planning to sell her to the Red-Light District. Discovering this betrayal, Rosalie died by suicide, hanging herself. The trauma bound her spirit to the site of her death, where she haunted as a bitter, foul-mouthed, and territorial delinquent ghost for over a century, scaring away residents and distrusting all who approached.

Her spectral form reflects her human appearance: a teenage girl with strawberry blonde hair in a medium-length bob and light green eyes. She wears a billowy purple dress featuring rose-colored trim, a white sailor collar with black stripes, a black neckerchief, and a matching purple beret adorned with a fuchsia bow. A spell allows her to alter this outfit for special occasions, such as formal events in the Demon Kingdom.

Rosalie's haunting prevented work when Halkara purchased her death site for a Nutri-Spirit factory. Halkara enlisted Azusa and Beelzebub to resolve the haunting. Their intervention freed Rosalie from her binding, enabling her to move to the House of the Highlands. This liberation softened her hostility; though she retained her abrasive speech patterns—including a corrupted dialect, Yakuza-like tendencies such as calling Azusa "sis," and expressing interest in tattoos—she gradually became more welcoming and considerate, integrating into the household.

As a ghost, Rosalie possesses inherent abilities: levitation and flight, invisibility, phasing through solid objects, limited poltergeist-like environmental manipulation, and the power to possess weak-willed or low-level individuals. She doesn't require sustenance or sleep but can partake if desired. A unique aspect of her existence is the risk of fading away if she becomes excessively content or happy, as this would sever her ties to the material world. To prevent this, she periodically reminds herself of the circumstances of her death to maintain her spiritual form. This dynamic allows for her potential as an eternal companion to Azusa due to her ghostly immortality.
