Occasionally forgetful, Batako has been part of Anpanman's life since his creation, witnessing his birth and aiding Uncle Jam in raising him. She fulfills a nurturing, motherly role in this dynamic. During battles or emergencies, she physically throws replacement heads to Anpanman. Batako shares a close bond with Cheese, the bakery dog: she named him, frequently translates his barks, and together they deliver bread, sometimes accompanied by Uncle Jam.
