Description
Created by Uncle Jam at Melonpanna's request for a sibling, Rollpanna's origin was sabotaged by Baikinman. He contaminated her dough mixture with Bacteria Grass, itself containing pollen from the Flower of Pure Heart and Melonpanna's melon juice. This act cursed Rollpanna with two conflicting hearts: a red heart symbolizing goodness and a blue heart embodying evil. These hearts activate involuntarily based on external stimuli, overriding her will. The sight or mention of Anpanman triggers her evil heart, provoking hostility and aggression. Conversely, seeing Melonpanna activates her good heart, restoring her normal self. Forced into mountain isolation to prevent harm, she nevertheless responds to Melonpanna's calls for help or Baikinman's deliberate activation of her evil state, typically retreating to solitude after Baikinman's defeats.

Rollpanna's appearance features a white turban-like head wrap marked with a red "R", a visible dark brown hair curl, and turquoise-blue eyes. She wears a bright cyan cape and a primarily black outfit accented by white gloves, belt, and shoes. Two hearts on her chest manifest her duality: the left heart glows red for love when happy; the right glows blue for hatred. When her evil heart dominates or she encounters Bacteria Grass, she transforms into "Black Rollpanna". This state lightens her skin to teal, darkens her head wrap to gray-black, turns her gloves, belt, and shoes black, shifts her eyes to red, and intensifies the blue heart's glow. A rare "Complete Black Rollpanna" form occurs if her hearts are forcibly split, erasing memories of her good self and leaving only the destructive blue heart. The film "Roll to Laura, Ukigumojou no Himitsu" depicts a variant where excessive Bacteria Grass exposure merges her hearts and changes her turban's "R" to "B".

Her primary weapon is a gymnastics ribbon, used to ensnare enemies, generate tornadoes, or electrocute opponents. As Black Rollpanna, the ribbon gains petrifying power. She flies faster than other bread heroes and possesses superhuman hearing specifically tuned to Melonpanna's calls across any distance. Her personality is cautious, quiet, and emotionally guarded, though she deeply cares for Melonpanna and intervenes to aid others when needed. She enjoys solitude, nature, and flowers but avoids emotional displays.

Relationships define her existence. Melonpanna serves as her strongest emotional anchor, calming her evil transformations. Anpanman becomes an unintentional enemy during evil phases, though he consistently regards her as an ally and respects her struggle. She resents Baikinman for corrupting her creation but is often coerced into aiding his schemes. Mutual respect exists with Shokupanman and Currypanman, who can occasionally cause her evil heart to hesitate in conflict. Shokupanman, uniquely, once calmed her evil state using a flower they tended together. Creampanda is her adoptive younger brother, though she is less close to him than to Melonpanna. In "Roll to Laura, Ukigumojou no Himitsu", she forms a poignant bond with Princess Laura.

Rollpanna appears in multiple films. In the 1995 movie "Yūreisen o Yattsukero!!", Baikinman exploits her evil heart to attack heroes using a ghost ship. Her role in "Yōsei Rinrin no Himitsu" is confirmed. Her character arc reflects the ongoing tension between inherent kindness and imposed corruption, explored through episodic interventions, reluctant villainy, and returns to isolation.
