Description
Jam Ojisan, known as Uncle Jam or Mr. Jam, appears in "Soreike! Anpanman: Tsukikoto Shiratama〜Tokimeki Dancing〜" within the "Sore Ike! Anpanman" franchise. He accidentally created Anpanman when a shooting star landed in his oven during baking. A kind, warm-hearted elder, he possesses extensive expertise in baking bread and mechanics, enabling him to build inventions like the Anpanman Mobile. His appearance echoes Anpanman but features gray hair, fluffy eyebrows, a mustache, and lighter red tints on his cheeks and nose. He consistently wears a white chef's hat, shirt, pants, apron, and blueish-gray shoes.
Jam Ojisan serves as a paternal figure to Anpanman, raising him and encouraging him to aid others. He maintains relationships with characters he created or supports, including Melonpanna, Rollpanna—whom he repeatedly invites to join his bakery despite her antagonism—and Creampanda, his adoptive child and mentee. He shares a close familial bond with Batako; though unrelated, they live together and care deeply for each other. His pet dog, Cheese, is a minor companion.
Residing in a bread factory, Jam Ojisan repairs mechanical characters and invents devices. Neither he nor Batako requires sustenance like typical humans, as both are classified as "fairies" in the non-human Anpanman World. Beyond baking and mechanics, his skills include motorcycle riding and unspecified talents honed through travels and research.
In "Tsukikoto Shiratama〜Tokimeki Dancing〜", Jam Ojisan appears as a supporting character. His background includes scrapped elements like pipe smoking in early manga depictions and naming variations such as "uncle" or "old man" in the 1973 picture book.
