OVA
Description
Eimi Date is a student at Umi no Hoshi Elementary School, serving as the class representative for class 4-3. In this role, she demonstrates an unwavering dedication to enforcing school regulations, often citing rule infractions even in unexpected locations outside of school property. Her commitment to order includes threatening to report a classmate for arriving via motorcycle, though her attention is easily diverted by sudden events. Beyond her responsibilities, Eimi harbors aspirations of becoming an actress, a dream that stands in notable contrast to her actual abilities. Her singing voice is exceptionally poor, creating significant difficulties during choir practice for the school festival. Her classmates have resorted to extreme measures to prevent her from ruining performances, including gagging and tying her during rehearsals and covering her mouth during the actual event.
Eimi is transformed into the antagonistic magical girl Love-Me Eimy through the machinations of Romio, who uses remote control technology linked to an antenna placed on Eimi's head. This forced transformation is intended to sabotage an important ceremony by attacking the school and destroying the protagonist Pretty Sammy. While under mind control, Love-Me Eimy retains recognizable elements of Eimi's core personality, continuing to reprimand others for breaking school rules, though she invents regulations opportunistically to suit her purposes. Her terrible singing voice persists in this form, and she hosts concerts featuring contradictory lyrics despite her lack of vocal skill. In battle, Love-Me Eimy demonstrates significant power, summoning creatures called Lovely Monsters and employing potent fireball magic capable of destroying buildings.
During the confrontation with Pretty Sammy, a battle takes place within a special space. Sammy manages to destroy the antenna on Eimi's head, freeing her from Romio's control. Upon regaining awareness, Eimi expresses horror at the magical girl outfit she is wearing, declaring its violation of school rules to be the biggest mistake of her life. She claims no memory of the events while controlled and pleads with her teacher not to be expelled, crying and showing genuine distress. Despite being liberated from mind control, Eimi finds herself permanently unable to revert from the Love-Me Eimy costume. This condition causes ongoing distress throughout the remainder of the story. When the Earth shifts closer to the sun, she expresses a preference for death over dying while wearing the outfit. Her family reacts with alarm at her transformed appearance, and she becomes irritable when questioned about it. Gradually, Eimi shows diminished concern for maintaining her model student image, evidenced by sleeping in class. At the story's conclusion, she attempts to ask Pretty Sammy for assistance in removing the costume but receives no response, leaving the outfit as her permanent condition.
