TV-Series
Description
Haos Tigrerra is the Guardian Bakugan of the Battle Brawler Runo Misaki. A creature of the Haos attribute, which represents light, her initial form is a quadrupedal, tiger-like being with a primarily white color scheme. Concealed within her body is a gigantic blade capable of cutting through any known substance in the human world. Runo affectionately refers to her partner as Tig.
In terms of personality, Tigrerra is defined by her fierce loyalty, a strong sense of duty, and a protective nature. She is kind-hearted and often addresses Runo with the formal and respectful title of "my lady," reflecting the depth of their bond. Despite her fierce combat abilities, she displays human-like qualities, occasionally expressing confusion about complex human emotions and behaviors. In battle, she is a strategic thinker, capable of remaining calm and analytical under pressure.
Her primary motivation throughout the series is the safety and well-being of her partner, Runo, as well as the protection of her home world, Vestroia. This drive pushes her to confront powerful enemies and overcome incredible odds. A key event in her development is her evolution into Blade Tigrerra. This transformation occurs during a desperate battle in the Doom Dimension against a younger version of Dan Kuso and his Bakugan, Lars Lion. On the verge of defeat, Runo's heartfelt emotional confession allows Tigrerra to evolve. This new form is bipedal and more humanoid, adorned with multiple external blades, and grants her greatly enhanced agility, tactical assessment, and combat power.
In the story of Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia, Tigrerra initially appears fighting alongside Baron against the Vestal forces. She is ultimately captured by the Vexos and turned into a stone statue while trying to defend her ally, Mega Nemus. Her capture serves as a major catalyst for the plot, as it is the event that prompts the Legendary Soldiers of Vestroia to send Drago back to Earth to gather help. After being liberated, she joins the resistance against the Vestal invaders, participating in key battles against opponents such as Macubass and Aluze.
Tigrerra maintains significant relationships with other Bakugan, most notably a close friendship with Drago and Preyas. As the series progresses, she demonstrates a notable concern about her inability to evolve further, unlike some of her counterparts. This leads her and Hammer Gorem to temporarily retire from active brawling out of fear that their limitations could endanger their human partners. By the time of the Mechtanium Surge arc, Tigrerra has returned to New Vestroia, taking on a mentor role to the younger Bakugan Aerogan. She participates in the final collective defense of New Vestroia against the Mechtavius Destroyer.
Tigrerra possesses a wide array of notable abilities. In her base form, these include Cut in Saber, which allows her to add herself to a battle; Cut in Slayer, which sacrifices her own power to transfer it to an ally; Pure Light, which can restore a defeated Bakugan; Haos Freeze, which stops battle time; and Lightning Tornado, which alters power levels. As Blade Tigrerra, her abilities become more offensive and disruptive. She gains Velocity Fang, which nullifies opponent abilities and reduces their power, and its enhanced version, Hyper Velocity Fang. Other evolved abilities include Saber Glosser, which transfers an opponent's power to her, Metal Fang, which increases her own power, and Lightning Shield, which nullifies Gate Cards. A recurring point of discussion in the fandom is the character's gender, as the original Japanese version portrays Tigrerra as male, while the English adaptation presents the character as female.
