Tigrerra serves as Runo Misaki's guardian Bakugan, first appearing as a tiger-like Haos-attribute Bakugan. Her base form wields a large internal blade capable of cutting any substance, exhibits a protective nature, and demonstrates a strong sense of duty towards Runo, often addressing her formally as "my lady." During a battle against Lars Lion in the Doom Dimension, Tigrerra evolves into Blade Tigrerra, sparked by Runo's emotional confession. This evolved state gains a bipedal form, enhancing combat mobility and pouncing accuracy. Blade Tigrerra features blades covering its body, sharp claws, and elongated fangs.
In New Vestroia, Blade Tigrerra falls among the first guardian Bakugan captured by the Vexos following a battle against Spectra Phantom. Baron Leltoy battles Spectra to protect her but loses, resulting in her petrification into a statue displayed in Prince Hydron's throne room. This capture prompts the Six Legendary Soldiers of Vestroia to send Drago to Earth for reinforcements. After liberation, Blade Tigrerra participates in battles to restore New Vestroia, including a joint effort with Mira Fermin's Magma Wilda against Mylene Farrow's Macubass. During this period, she wields upgraded abilities like Hyper Velocity Fang and Saber Glosser. Later, she and Hammer Gorem express reluctance to continue brawling, fearing for their partners' safety, and retire from active combat.
By Mechtanium Surge, Blade Tigrerra resides on New Vestroia and mentors Aerogan. She appears during the final defense against Mechtavius Destroyer, fighting alongside Aerogan as one of the last surviving Bakugan before being destroyed. This event is later reversed via time travel, allowing her to survive and either remain on New Vestroia or reunite with Runo.
Her abilities include Crystal Fang, Cut in Saber, and Pure Light in her base form. As Blade Tigrerra, she gains Velocity Fang (nullifying opponent abilities and subtracting 100 Gs) and Lightning Shield. In New Vestroia, her abilities upgrade to Hyper Velocity Fang (nullifying abilities and subtracting 300 Gs) and Saber Glosser (transferring 400 Gs). Mechtanium Surge introduces Bolting Fang. A gender discrepancy exists between adaptations: the Japanese version portrays Tigrerra as male ("Tigress"), while the English dub depicts her as female.
Physically, the Subterra variant of Blade Tigrerra in the brawling game has recorded G-powers of 460, 480, and 500 Gs in Japan, and 650 or 750 Gs internationally. The Haos variant measures 340–380 Gs in Japan and 550 Gs in BakuBox releases, while the Ventus variant reaches 450 or 580 Gs.
