Found roadside by Haru Yoshida, Nagoya the rooster briefly attended school classes until Shizuku Mizutani intervened. Shizuku instructed Haru to remove the chicken. Sōhei Sasahara then offered temporary shelter, but his cat fled from Nagoya, resulting in the rooster's swift return. Prompted by Haru, Saeko Ninomiya successfully proposed to the school committee that Nagoya reside on campus. Haru, Natsume Asako, Sasahara, Tomio, Joji, Mabo, and Kenji constructed a coop for Nagoya, establishing his permanent home. Haru maintained a daily routine of morning visits and feeding. Nagoya possesses a gentle and endearing nature. While Shizuku regards him as a pet, Haru holds a special fondness for the rooster. Nagoya became a fixture in daily school life and notably attended Haru and Shizuku's wedding ceremony wearing a bow tie. Sasahara named the chicken after the Japanese city, Nagoya. The rooster also features in the ending sequences of every anime episode except episode 12.
