Rod Drill is a Battle Tribe warrior, a sentient transforming robot from the mechanical world Cronos. He converts into a drill tank, achieving speeds of 55 mph on the surface and 41 mph while tunneling underground. This bright, happy-go-lucky fighter employs a barefisted version of Tenkū Chūshin Ken martial arts and wields the Ionoid Super Drill and Blazer Cannon in combat. Demonstrating loyalty to Rom Stol's group, he roams Cronos seeking the Hyribead energy source and battling the invading Gyandlar forces. Rod Drill engages in numerous conflicts, including the defense of Emerald City and the Battle Base in later story arcs. He holds a distinct admiration for Leina Stol and requires ten hours of uninterrupted deep sleep once dormant. Standing 6'4" (2.1 meters) tall, Rod Drill weighs 5 tons.
