Sports Maxx is an inmate at Green Dolphin Street Prison and a gangster with over forty criminal counts, operating a car dealership as a front. His crimes include torturing and murdering a man outside Gloria Costello's restaurant. After Gloria witnessed the crime and reported it to protect her sister Ermes, Sports Maxx arranged Gloria's strangulation and had her body dumped in a gutter. He was later arrested but convicted only of tax evasion and assault, receiving a five-year sentence at Green Dolphin Street Prison. This outcome motivated Ermes Costello to intentionally get incarcerated to seek vengeance against him. During his imprisonment, Sports Maxx maintained a façade of respectability by engaging in taxidermy—stuffing animals like birds and alligators—cleaning the prison cemetery, and placing flowers on graves. He also regularly visited the chapel, though this was later revealed to facilitate his cooperation with Enrico Pucci. Despite his outward demeanor, he continued using drugs and soliciting prostitutes within the prison. Pucci, recognizing Sports Maxx's potential for evil, gave him a Stand DISC that granted the Stand Limp Bizkit. This Stand initially allowed him to reanimate the corpses of humans and animals into invisible, undead entities possessing enhanced strength and wall-crawling abilities. As part of Pucci's plan, Sports Maxx used this ability to revive one of Dio's bones; it later transformed into the Green Baby after absorbing souls from the prison's maximum security ward. After Ermes trapped him inside a pipe using her Stand Kiss's sticker ability, Sports Maxx suffocated and died. Limp Bizkit then reanimated his own corpse, transforming him into an invisible zombie. This state granted him superhuman strength, the ability to detach body parts without injury, and an insatiable craving for brains. Realizing his undead nature, he killed and consumed a prostitute named Sharon, reanimating her as a zombie. In the prison cemetery, Sports Maxx ambushed Ermes, Jolyne Cujoh, and Foo Fighters with a horde of invisible zombies. During the fight, he detached his head to launch a surprise attack on Ermes and taunted her about Gloria's death, blaming Gloria for interfering in his affairs. Ermes outmaneuvered him by exploiting a sticker on his head, revealing his position and violently pummeling him. This assault ejected his Stand and memory DISCs, causing his zombified body and all reanimated corpses to disintegrate. He later reappeared briefly as a memory manifestation through Donatello Versus's Stand Under World, providing exposition about the Stand's mechanics to Ermes. Trivia notes include his name referencing the Max Mara fashion line "Sportmax," while his Stand's name derives from the band Limp Bizkit. Culturally, the character critiques hedonistic and machismo tendencies among affluent American youth involved in crime.
