Description
Rika Manabe is a quiet, sweet, and shy student, characterized by her caring nature and deep bond with her childhood friend, Naoto Jinno. Though their relationship had a rocky start in their early years, they grew to be very close. Her joy was so profound when Naoto accepted her as his girlfriend that she cried.
Their relationship was violently interrupted by the devil Asmodeus, who sent tentacle creatures to kidnap her. Naoto's defense was quickly overpowered. The attack was only halted by the intervention of the angel Luvriel, who was injured in the battle. After being taken to Naoto's home to recover, Luvriel explained the celestial war between angels and demons and, due to her own depleted power, requested Rika become a replacement fighter.
Rika cheerfully volunteered to become an angel but felt discomfited to learn the transformation required wearing Luvriel's halo and storing Amore power through sexual intercourse with someone she cared for, necessitating the loss of her virginity. With Naoto as the only available partner, they reluctantly agreed. This process transformed her into the Devil Angel St. Djibril to fight Asmodeus and his subordinate, the corrupted classmate Misty Mei.
At the start of the second story arc, Rika was kidnapped by Misty Mei under the direction of Asmodeus's sister, Rococo. She was captured by a monster called the Eternal Worm and subjected to a perverse version of her initial training, which corrupted her into a darker form known as Dark Djibril, forcing her to serve the demonic forces.
During the third major story arc, a new threat emerged from a mysterious photography student connected to the return of Misty Mei. Following an attack by a powerful monster, the second Devil Angel, Hikari Jinno, was abducted. While a new virtual angel named Nagi was activated to help, Rika was weakened by a strange spell cast through the corrupted power of the now-dark Hikari.
Rika has brown hair cut in a straight, shoulder-length bob and brown eyes. She stands 162 cm tall with measurements of 83-59-82 cm and a C cup bust. Her birthday is December 15. In her civilian form, she wears a school uniform consisting of a blazer, miniskirt, necktie, and thigh-high boots. When transformed into St. Djibril, her hair turns cyan and her eyes become teal.
