OVA
Description
Anna Puma is an android appearing across multiple Dominion media, originally designed as a "love doll" alongside her identical twin UniPuma for commercial pleasure, though their programming evolved beyond these functions. Standing 6'4" with blonde hair, cat-like ears, and occasionally mismatched blue/green eyes, her appearance shifted to red hair in the New Dominion Tank Police OVA.
Her history began within Buaku's criminal gang, participating in activities like bank robberies and hospital heists, including urine sample theft. She and her sister often used distractions such as stripping to evade police. Their android bodies grant superior strength, agility, endurance, damage resistance, and military-grade targeting systems. A unique physiological trait allows them to shrink to child size by expelling water and return to normal by ingesting water, utilized when their standard size hindered tank operations.
Personality-wise, AnnaPuma exhibits childlike impulsiveness, impatience, and quickness to anger or frustration. She frequently bickers with her sister and displays strong attraction to expensive items, glittering objects, and heavy weaponry, prioritizing suppressive fire over precision. She resents being called a "love doll," preferring "artificial intelligence," and harbors mutual hatred for Tank Police officer Leona Ozaki.
After Buaku escaped into space post-Embryo space colony theft in the manga continuity, AnnaPuma and her sister remained on Earth. They later joined the Newport Tank Police under a legal technicality exempting androids from criminal responsibility for past actions. In this role, they participated in operations against threats like Dai Nippon Geiken Corporation's weapon proliferation in the 2016-set New Dominion Tank Police and appeared as police members in the TANK S.W.A.T. 01 OVA. Their characterization in New Dominion was noted as reduced in complexity compared to earlier portrayals.
Beyond the main series, the Puma sisters had a Ghost in the Shell manga cameo as black-market merchants selling robotic components before being robbed by a Fuchikoma. In the alternate continuity manga Dominion Conflict One: No More Noise, they also served in the Tank Police—now a more structured organization—though this series exists in a separate timeline.
