Anna Puma is an android originally designed as a commercial love doll, alongside her twin sister Uni Puma. Standing over six feet tall with a muscular build, she has cat-like ears, blonde hair that is sometimes depicted as red, and mismatched blue and green eyes. Her android body grants superior strength, agility, endurance, damage resistance, and military-grade targeting systems. A unique physiological trait allows her to shrink to roughly three feet by expelling water and return to full size by ingesting water, which helps when piloting tanks or navigating confined spaces. She and her sister initially worked as exotic dancers and enforcers for the criminal Buaku, taking part in bank robberies and a hospital heist where they stole urine samples and used stripping as a distraction to escape police. After Buaku left Earth, they became homeless before joining the Newport City Tank Police under a legal loophole exempting androids from criminal responsibility for past actions. Anna Puma is impulsive, quick to anger, and easily frustrated, with a childlike nature and a tendency to bicker with her sister. She is strongly attracted to expensive items, glittering objects, and heavy weaponry, favoring suppressive fire over precision. She resents being called a love doll, preferring the term artificial intelligence, and harbors a mutual hatred for Tank Police officer Leona Ozaki. Beyond the main Dominion series, she and her sister appear in a cameo in the Ghost in the Shell manga as black-market merchants, and they serve as police officers in the TANK S.W.A.T. 01 OVA. An alternate continuity manga, Dominion Conflict One: No More Noise, also shows them as members of a more structured Tank Police force.
