OVA
Description
Kenshiro stands as a central figure defined by his bond with Yuria and his role as Hokuto Shinken's successor. Their connection originates in childhood at the Hokuto dojo, where Yuria grapples with the "voice of the heavens"—a power granting future visions that isolates her emotionally. Kenshiro’s innate kindness helps her accept this ability, forging a deep bond that reveals his protective nature and emotional sensitivity.

After a nuclear holocaust, Kenshiro becomes engaged to Yuria. Their peace shatters when rival martial artist Shin attacks, carving seven scars in a Big Dipper pattern across Kenshiro’s chest and abducting Yuria. This act propels Kenshiro into a wasteland odyssey. Adopting a stoic demeanor, he confronts threats to innocents, earning the title "Savior of the Century’s End."

The OVA expands Yuria’s perspective during their separation: her suicide attempt at Shin’s palace, rescue by the Nanto Goshasei, and rise as the Last Nanto General. Kenshiro’s battles—including his conflict with Nanto Holy Emperor Thouzer—partially unfold through her experiences. They reunite after Kenshiro defeats Thouzer. Additional details unique to this narrative include Yuria’s childhood illness origin, her encounter with Rei, and the role of her dog Tobi in strengthening her bond with Kenshiro.

Kenshiro wields Hokuto Shinken combat arts, targeting vital points for destruction or healing. His techniques, like "Hundred Rending Fists" and "Musou Tensei," are deployed against foes including Shin, Thouzer, and Raoh. He possesses heightened senses—hearing whispers from 2 km away and intercepting arrows—coupled with exceptional strength and endurance. His resilience allows survival through months of fasting or potent toxins.

Within this OVA, Kenshiro’s arc bridges into later Legends of the True Savior installments, setting the stage for his final confrontation with adoptive brother Raoh. His emotional core—centered on his profound bond with Yuria and lamentations over suffering—remains consistent, contrasting his martial prowess.
