Description
Kenshiro, the 64th successor of the ancient assassination art Hokuto Shinken, wields precise strikes to meridian points, capable of destructive internal damage or healing. Born in Shura and sent to Japan as an infant with Raoh and Toki after civil war, he was adopted and rigorously trained by the previous master, Ryuken. Kenshiro's selection as the rightful successor over his adoptive brothers violated the tradition of single succession, igniting future conflicts.

His attempt at a peaceful life with fiancée Yuria following a global nuclear war was shattered when Shin, a rival from the Nanto Koshū Ken school, defeated him, carving seven scars in a Big Dipper pattern on his chest before abducting Yuria. Left for dead, Kenshiro survived, wandering the wasteland. His resolve hardened to protect the innocent and punish the wicked, leading him to befriend orphans Bat and Lin, who became his companions. He later confronted and defeated Shin, though Yuria was believed lost.

Discovering his adoptive brothers Raoh, Toki, and Jagi had survived, Kenshiro faced their legacies. Jealous Jagi committed atrocities under Kenshiro's name and manipulated Shin into the initial conflict. After eliminating Jagi, Kenshiro confronted Raoh, who had rejected Hokuto Shinken's laws, killed Ryuken, and conquered the wasteland as Ken-Oh. Their first battle ended in stalemate, mediated by Toki. Kenshiro also fought the Holy Emperor Souther, uncovering Souther's anatomical secret to achieve victory.

The culmination came when Raoh kidnapped Yuria, revealed as the Last Nanto General. Kenshiro, having mastered the ultimate Hokuto Shinken technique Musou Tensei through profound sorrow—a state transcending physical form—confronted him, momentarily overwhelming Raoh with fear. Raoh retreated with Yuria to the Hokuto Renkitōza training grounds for their final battle. There, Kenshiro's deeper understanding of life, death, and compassion secured his victory. Dying, Raoh revealed he placed Yuria in a death-like state to extend her life after learning of her terminal illness, sparing her actual death.

Following Raoh's demise, Kenshiro experienced years of peace with Yuria. After her eventual passing, he continued his role as the "Savior of the Century's End," later mentoring Raoh's orphaned son, Ryu, as a potential successor. Kenshiro embodies stoic resolve, unwavering protection of the vulnerable, and lethal justice against oppressors. His iconic phrase, "You are already dead," heralds his foes' defeat. Embracing necessary violence, he openly mourns innocent suffering and honorable adversaries, reflecting profound empathy within the desolate world he safeguards.
