Isao, a small dragon creature belonging to Asa Motegi, sports an orange scaled body with two tiny yellow horns, small dotted black eyes, and miniature green wings permitting limited short-distance flight. His tail features a distinct fin-like shape.

Personality-wise, Isao displays notable maturity among his fellow supernatural creatures, consistently assuming a nurturing big brother role. His high intelligence includes a gift for language; after hearing Motegi read stories aloud, he independently learned to write simple Japanese phrases. He later instructed the other creatures in writing and rapidly mastered writing his own name in English following alphabet lessons.

Isao's introduction to Motegi occurred accidentally. Her extreme lizard phobia initially caused terror-fueled disproportionate strength that inflicted significant property damage during their first encounter. With Sora Kashiwagi's assistance, Motegi conquered her fear and formally adopted Isao, forging a bond defined by mutual care and affection.

Dietarily, Isao favors natto and tofu. Within the creature group, he maintains his position as the most responsible and nurturing figure. His development includes facilitating heartfelt interactions, such as helping Mii-kun compose written messages for Sora.
