Description
Senbei Norimaki, nicknamed "Dr. Slump," is an inventor living in Penguin Village. This moniker reflects his inconsistent track record, where inventions often yield wildly unpredictable results. He crafted the robot girl Arale Norimaki, initially envisioned as a "perfect little girl robot," though her extreme nearsightedness and naïve personality necessitated immediate corrective glasses. Senbei alternately presents Arale to villagers as his sister or daughter.
He actively pursues romance, particularly with Midori Yamabuki, Arale's teacher. After accidental proposals and misunderstandings, Senbei marries Midori, who becomes Midori Norimaki. Their union produces a son, Turbo. Turbo gains super-genius intellect and psychic powers following alien intervention. Senbei also adopts Gatchan, an angelic creature hatched from a prehistoric egg, who later splits into two beings.
