Description
Head Rococo is a significant character from the Bikkuri-Man franchise, originally known as Saint Phoenix. His transformation into Head Rococo occurs upon entering the Mu'en Zone, where he receives a divine protection that fundamentally alters his being and grants him the Koushichi Feathers. This evolution empowers him with enhanced abilities, including the power to break through demonic flames using a technique known as Sacred Firebird Speed and the capacity to aid in the creation of a Sacred Light Path.
As a character, Head Rococo serves as a heroic leader and protector, taking command of the Wakajinshi group to defend the Angel realm. His personality is defined by a sense of duty and sacrifice. This is most evident at a critical juncture in the story where he meets his end. In his dying moments, he transfers his remaining powers to Yamato Jintei, an act that empowers Yamato to transform into Yamato Bakushin and succeed him as the leader of the Wakajinshi. This event is a pivotal moment, marking a significant change in the leadership of the group.
Despite his death, the character's story does not end there. He is later revived by two entities named Seishin Nadia and Aizen Kaguya, returning in a new form known as Ando Rokoko. In this revived state, he continues to play an active role. For instance, in the film or story Bikkuriman: Moen Zone no Himitsu, he joins Yamato Ouji on a mission to search for the Jikai. During this adventure, he helps defend the residents of the Omamori from further attacks by the Akuma.
Beyond the main anime narrative, Head Rococo appears extensively in related media. In the Bikkuriman World video game, he acts as the player’s protagonist, tasked by the character Super Zeus to defeat the antagonist Shiso Jura. He is also a playable character in Bikkuriman World: Gekitō Sei Senshi, where his transformation from Saint Phoenix is featured. His influence extends to crossover collaborations, such as with the game Puzzle & Dragons, where he receives several alternative forms. These include fusions with the character Echidna, resulting in forms like Echidna Rokoko and Crimson Lotus Mistress Echidna Rokoko, as well as a variant specifically empowered by the Koushichi Feathers. His design and legacy are also commemorated through official art collections, crystal art figurines, and special edition stickers.
