Tsutomu Harako is a wealthy transfer student entering the main cast's classroom. His mature physique and facial features frequently cause others to mistake him for an adult. Academically gifted and athletically skilled, he constantly boasts about being the junior champion in diverse competitions, spanning legitimate sports to mundane or bizarre feats he frequently fabricates; this narcissistic egotism defines him.

His arrival instantly establishes him as Honmaru Edojo's primary rival, fueled significantly by their shared affection for classmate Iyona Kawai. This romantic competition drives Harako to repeatedly challenge Honmaru in various contests. After suffering a martial arts defeat by Honmaru, Harako discovers Taruruto's magical assistance enabled the victory, provoking intense outrage. This revelation spurs Harako's determined effort to even the odds; he extensively researches global magic sources and eventually secures his own magician ally. However, this partnership introduces complications as the magician pursues independent ambitions beyond Harako's goals.
