Description
Jabao Jaba is a character from the anime Magical Taruruuto-kun: Moero! Yūjō no Mahō Taisen. He is a student at the same elementary school as the protagonist Honmaru Edojo and functions as a primary antagonist and childhood bully. In terms of his background, Jabao is characterized by an obese physique and what is described as an unattractive appearance. He consistently performs poorly in his academic studies, a trait he shares with his frequent target, Honmaru. Despite his heavy frame, he possesses significant muscular strength, which he uses to deliver powerful punches.
His personality is defined by a violent temper and a domineering demeanor. Jabao's primary behavior involves physically assaulting Honmaru and verbally harassing him, often venting his own frustrations on the boy. This aggression continues even on the rare occasions when Honmaru attempts to offer him help. Underneath his brutish exterior, however, lies a certain cowardice. This underlying nature becomes more apparent when stronger characters, such as the transfer students Tsutomu Harako and later the Zakenja twins, arrive at the school and surpass him in strength. The shift in the school's hierarchy reveals that his dominance was partly reliant on being the biggest threat in a relatively weak environment. Despite his overall antagonistic role, deeper narrative elements suggest a latent concern for his closest classmates, hinting at a more complex personality beneath the surface of the schoolyard bully.
Jabao's motivation throughout the story is largely straightforward, centered on maintaining his position as a top dog through intimidation and physical force. His role in the story is to serve as one of the primary sources of conflict in Honmaru's daily school life, representing the classic bully archetype. He is often seen in the company of his companion Korekiyo Ryoguchiya. He also has a noted rivalry of sorts with Rui Ijigawa, a girl who is herself antagonistic toward Honmaru. The arrival of stronger rivals like Tsutomu Harako and the Zakenja twins diminishes his standing, forcing his character into a less dominant position within the social group.
In terms of development, Jabao's journey shows that he is not a static villain. Following the graduation from elementary school, he continues his education at the same local public junior high school as Honmaru and Rui Ijigawa. This continuity suggests he remains connected to the core social circle despite his previous conflicts. At the end of the story, he is present among the group of classmates gathered at New Tokyo International Airport to bid farewell to the departing Zakenja siblings, indicating a degree of reconciliation and sustained connection to the group. Regarding his notable abilities, beyond his significant physical strength used for powerful punches, there is no information available on any special skills or magical powers.
