Description
Leo Conrad, the narrative’s central protagonist, begins as a courier partnered with Buzz Cunningham until fate intertwines his path with Sally Land, a fugitive hunted by imperial forces. Her pendant’s dormant technology triggers his latent Zoid Factor, metallizing his left arm and heart, granting heightened durability and immunity to electrical assaults. Without formal training, his piloting expertise grows through relentless practice, allowing him to command Zoids without protective gear—a rarity during Wild Blast activation.

His bond with the Proto Beast Liger, a Zoid he excavated and restored, deepens when the pendant transforms it into the Beast Liger. After a near-fatal clash with the Genospino, a Regeneration Cube resurrects the machine, shedding ruined armor to emerge as the agile Rising Liger, retrofitted with scavenged artillery.

Initially neutral, Leo becomes a linchpin in the Republic-Empire war, leveraging his unique Zoid Genes to awaken Regeneration Cubes and combat existential threats like the Omega Rex and Zero Grizis. His connection to ancient terraforming systems proves vital in averting planetary collapse and restoring ecological harmony.

Hot-headed yet principled, Leo balances a thirst for adventure with unyielding resilience. Romantic tension with Sally and alliances with Republic archaeologist Jo Aysel and ex-imperial soldier Baan Blood shape his journey. His strained relationship with father Joshua Conrad, a renowned archaeologist, fuels his drive to uncover truths.

A pioneer in Zoid customization, Leo devises booster prototypes for harsh terrain and integrates over a dozen repurposed weapons into his machine. His tactical ingenuity shines in battles against elite foes, such as landing decisive blows on Christopher Giller’s Sniptera—a feat few achieve.
