Li Yong Fa is a main character in the anime Battle B-Daman: Fire Spirits. He is of Chinese descent and initially appears alongside his brother, Wen Yong Fa, as a member of the Shadow Alliance. In the early part of the story, Li and his brother are seen observing Yamato Delgado and scouting his skills from the Shadow Alliance hideout. Over time, Li begins to doubt the motives of Ababa and Enjyu, the leaders of the Shadow Alliance, and secretly starts communicating with Yamato and his friends. This internal conflict leads him to abandon his allegiance to the Shadow Alliance and side with the protagonists. Li later attempts to infiltrate the Neo Shadow Alliance by joining its ranks, but he is not accepted and is instead turned into a puppet under the control of Marda B. Despite this setback, he eventually teams up with Enjyu to oppose the Neo Shadow Alliance. Li shares a close bond with his older brother, Wen, and the two work exceptionally well together as a team in battle. Li’s B-Daman is called Rekuso, which is a Red Dragon model. He and Wen are able to combine their B-Damans, Red Dragon Rekuso and Blue Dragon Bakuso, into a single powerful form known as BakuRekuso. Li’s signature attack is called Crimson Light. At one point, when Wen discovers Li with Enjyu, a confrontation leads to a B-DaBattle in which Li wins by exploiting Wen’s unwillingness to shoot at his own brother. Throughout the series, Li develops from a loyal but conflicted member of the Shadow Alliance into a reliable ally to Yamato and his group, demonstrating a calm and level-headed personality in contrast to some of the more hot-headed members of the team.
