In her original time period, Momiji works part-time at a convenience store and speaks with a distinctive Kansai dialect. She harbors romantic feelings for engineer Curtis Lawson, leading to temporary friction when she suspects Yohko might be interested in him, adding complexity to her team interactions.

Throughout critical missions, including defending the Estanatreich against threats like Sara Dread and participating in the Zenga tournament, Momiji demonstrates resilience. During the Zenga tournament, her abduction by the Ghost Captain sparks a strategic confrontation where Yohko rescues her. Her character development centers on deepening camaraderie with fellow pilots, reinforcing her reliability and adaptability within the team, without undergoing major biological or physical transformations.
