Description
Shokupanman is a prominent character in Takashi Yanase's Anpanman universe, recognized for his head made of Japanese-style sliced white bread (shokupan). Created in Uncle Jam's bakery, he stands as one of many food-based heroes and forms a core heroic trio with Anpanman and Currypanman, frequently uniting to oppose antagonists such as Baikinman and Dokin-chan.

He wears a white outfit featuring a cape, red gloves, a red belt, and red shoes, marked by an "S" emblem on his chest representing his name. Shokupanman operates the adaptable Shokupanman-go, a delivery vehicle used for transporting bread that can also be deployed in combat or rescue missions.

Characterized as gentle, level-headed, and kind, Shokupanman often provides strategic thinking for the trio. He balances self-admiration with approachability, even dancing with new acquaintances. He typically uses the formal first-person pronoun "watashi," though shifts to "boku" when singing.

His primary duty involves delivering bread for school lunches, sometimes alongside Currypanman providing curry. In conflicts, he utilizes signature attacks like the Shoku-punch and Shoku-kick, similar to Anpanman's techniques, and participates in combined moves such as the Double-Punch (with Anpanman or Currypanman) and the Special Triple-Punch (with both).

Dokin-chan, Baikinman's partner, harbors an intense romantic fixation on Shokupanman, persistently pursuing his affection and collecting merchandise bearing his likeness, though her efforts are largely unreciprocated. This dynamic extends Shokupanman's role as an object of admiration beyond his heroic circle.
