Jīya possesses grey hair and a kind, caring demeanor. He exhibits steadfast loyalty to Akira, having served the Ōno household for many years. This loyalty frequently leads him to bend or break rules for her benefit, such as covertly driving her to arcades despite her family's strict educational rules. He actively protects Akira's interests, including confronting her authoritarian tutor, Moemi Goda, to safeguard her well-being.

A recurring comedic element involves Jīya habitually running over the protagonist, Haruo Yaguchi, with the Ōno family limousine. He openly identifies as a pachinko addict, though this trait does not significantly affect his primary duties.
