Description
Dora the Kid, alias "Dora za Kiddo," is a robotic cowboy and member of The Doraemons, a collective of gadget-equipped robot cats united by camaraderie. Originally patrolling the American frontier as a deputy alongside an elderly sheriff and his granddaughter, his sharpshooting prowess during a Robot Audition earned him a role as a Time Patrol special agent. His design replicates Doraemon’s factory settings, clad in frontier attire: a star-spangled vest, a wide-brimmed hat masking his ears, and a fourth-dimensional storage hat replacing the typical pouch.

Hot-tempered and fiercely independent, he initially shuns collaboration but evolves into a loyal team player. Though he dismisses girls as “trouble,” he shares a tempestuous romance with Dorami, Doraemon’s sister, sparked during a Robot School crisis where they liberated imprisoned peers and staff. Their bond thrives on heated disputes followed by reconciliations, with Kid adjusting habits to maintain peace—curtailing his Air Gun use or seeking guidance to counter impulsivity.

A master marksman, his Dorami-gifted Air Gun executes pinpoint shots—banking bullets off surfaces or striking environmental weak points to incapacitate foes. His rivalry with Nobita in sharpshooting fuels a camaraderie built on competition. Despite a crippling fear of heights, he relentlessly pursues interstellar ambitions, enduring hot-air balloon races and spacecraft voyages, confronting acrophobia solely in dire straits.

Ranked third in intellect among The Doraemons, he devises inventive solutions using interdisciplinary science. His hat’s multidimensional storage aids missions, while its dual function as a boomerang or anti-mind-control shield proves indispensable.

Notable arcs trace his shift from solitary enforcer to collaborative agent, his battle to meld rash instincts with tactical planning, and his steadfast dedication to Dorami despite clashing temperaments. His rebellious heroism echoes the legacy of Billy the Kid, while a peculiar taste for dorayaki slathered in mustard and ketchup underscores his eccentricity.
