TV Special
Description
Dora the Kid operates as a deputy in Texas and is a core member of the Doraemons. His appearance mirrors Doraemon's original factory design, complete with ears, and he wears cowboy/sheriff attire. His fourth-dimensional hat replaces a pocket for gadget storage. He carries a distinctive silver Air Gun, a gift from Dorami.

Kid possesses a hot-headed, stubborn, and independent personality. He initially rejected friendship with Doraemon before eventually acknowledging him and joining the group. Despite strong lone-wolf tendencies, he exhibits fierce loyalty and a willingness for self-sacrifice. He claims girls are troublesome yet displays romantic behavior toward his love interest, Dorami, whose anger he fears. He actively works to control his temper, even using the "Arrow of Reverse" to alter his personality at the cost of impaired skills, though he and Dorami reconcile quickly after conflicts. He dislikes seeing Dorami cry, famously identifying an impostor by declaring, "Dorami isn't a crybaby!"

His background includes attending Robot Academy as one of seven mischievous students. After Sunekuchi and Jaides manipulated Doraemon into a failed gadget theft leading to their imprisonment, Noramyako recruited Kid and five other robots for a rescue mission. This forged their friendship, and they utilized "Friendship Telecards" to combat evil, aided by Principal Teraodai. Post-graduation, Kid became a Texas deputy and joined the Time Patrol as a special agent due to his sharpshooting prowess, recognized during a Robot Audition.

His abilities feature exceptional marksmanship, rivaled only by Nobita Nobi and few others, and he ranks as the third smartest in the Doraemons. He applies knowledge of biology, physics, and chemistry innovatively in unpredictable situations. Weaknesses include chronic acrophobia (fear of heights), often leading to ironic entrapments like hot-air balloon races or spacecraft travel, though he faces it when necessary, such as flying blindfolded while holding someone's hand. He also experiences extreme hunger pangs, stating, "so hungry, can't move..." when unfed.

Relationships extend beyond Dorami; he shares a strong bond with Doraemon, often consulting him about courting Dorami, and considers Nobita both a friend and worthy opponent in duels. He rides a robotic horse named Edo and collects Air Guns, displayed in his home. Quirks include preferring dorayaki with mustard and ketchup and secretly wishing to see Dorami change her bow via the Anywhere Door.
